The House of Representatives has introduced a bill that would be very detrimental to Project Survival. The bill is designed by animal activists to eliminate all big cats in captivity over time. They use words like "Public Safety" and it has nothing to do with the public or safety. It is very important that this bill is stopped. Reform can be very easy by making it mandatory to have a USDA license to have big cats, period. This would solve many of the problems that need to be addressed without elimination of private facilities like the Cat Haven. The backers of the bill want to deceive people into thinking the bill is very important to pass for safety reasons. Do not be fooled. They passed a law 6 years ago to prohibit the contact of the public with big cats. Look at the list of supporters, all animal activists organizations that have an agenda that will hurt or eliminate the Cat Haven;
